Do You

Julissa is a lucrative realtor with a successful boyfriend. On the outside looking in, they appear to be a happy, power couple. They have nice cars and live in a lavish home. Julissa wants to be married, but her boyfriend is more concerned with making money. She's having a hard time remaining loyal when someone comes along and gives her everything she desires. Which direction will she take?
This was my second Ambrielle Kirk read. I had a few issues with this one. There were a few places I had to reread because of typos. I had to make sure I didn't miss something. Like the last read, I felt some things were rushed. I also felt like I was left hanging about some of the characters. This was a quick read that started off slow and became predictable. With the few issues, "Risking It All" was an okay read.

Mixed feelings

Let me start by saying this was a free read and I am usually prepared to be dissapointed, but this was not the case. The story was long enough to connect to the characters,the sexual tension between Julissa and Quintin was palpable. The sex scenes were plenty and well written.
There were some charachter flaws in Julissa and Quniton that made me struggle a little bit with this story - **spoilers** she was cheating on her live in boyfriend with Quinton, although her boyfriend was abusive and used her like a live in slave, this still bothered me a little. She would have moments of guilt and moral upheaval but would still sleep with Quinton any time they were together. She accepted an engagement ring from her boyfriend while having this affair. Quinton's character wasn't much better in this love triangle because he pursued her aggresively with the knowledge she was in a committed 3 year relationship.
The only other negative I have is that I wish the situation with her best friend was touch on a bit more and not rushed at the end of the story.
The author did do a good job of making me feel for them, their passion, their need to be together, their eventual love and made me want to see them have their happy ending against their questionable beginnings and this had a lot to do with Julissa's boyfriend / fiance being written so unlikable that you wanted to see him get knocked down a peg. All and all a pretty good read with a lot of sensuality, some drama and a happy ending thrown into the mix.

You, Me and He?

I had a few problems with this story Julissa and Quenton knowing that they were both in committed relationships had no problem cheating on their significant others. I kept trying to wrap my head around the fact that Julissa's boyfriend Michael who was a self centered and selfish as they came yet she still stayed with him even when he was abusive physically and mentally towards her. She had no back bone in my oppinion. And her friends Christina and Myra had their heads in the clouds as well how they kept telling Julissa how lucky she was to have gotten such a "Catch". I just kept rolling my eyes.
And don't let me get started on Quenton or "Q" as he preferred to be called knowing he too was already in a relationship which he neglected to reveal to Julissa until he had no choice. I kept saying WTF? This story had so many twists and turns that it wasn't even funny. Despite thoes flaws I did enjoy the story and would highly recommend this book because it was well written and the story flowed well.
