The Virginian - a Horseman of the Plains

Beautiful large print book. I didn't realize when I ordered it that it was fiction, and I'm not really into reading fiction, but I did finish the book and realized it was very well written with a third party being the teller of the story about the Virginian. Turns out it was actually the life story of the Virginian and how he ended up in love, etc. For those who enjoy western fiction, it is a great book!

A great book and enjoyable read from one of the best western writers. This book was the inspiration for the 1960's TV series with the same title.

The Virginian a Great Read

This was a pretty good western. A tall, dark Virginian falls in love with Molly, an eastern girl that comes to a town where the Virginian works with cattle. Molly is a school teacher. They fall in love, but dark deeds are being done. Plans for the Virginian's downfall are being laid. And Molly's family doesn't want her to marry a cowboy. Can their love survive in such a climate? If you like westerns and romances, this is the book for you.
